Krka, Ivančna Gorica

Krka (pronounced [ˈkəɾːka]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Ivančna Gorica in central Slovenia. It lies near the source of the Krka River, from which it gets its name. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.[2]

Church

Saints Cosmas and Damian Church

The local parish church is dedicated to Saints Cosmas and Damian and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Novo Mesto. It dates to the 12th century with numerous alterations over the centuries.[3]
