Kurihira Station (栗平駅, Kurihira-eki) is a railway station on the Odakyu Tama Line in Asao-ku, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Odakyu Electric Railway.

Lines

Kurihira Station is served by the Odakyu Tama Line, and lies 2.8 kilometers from the starting point of the line at Shin-Yurigaoka Station.[1]

Station layout

Kurihira Station is an elevated station with two opposed side platforms serving two tracks. The station building is elevated, and built on a cantilever extending over the platforms and tracks.

History

Kurihira Station was opened on June 1, 1974.[1] In the 2002, the station became a stop for the Tama Express, and from 2004 for the Section Semi-Express trains. The station building was remodeled in 2006.

Passenger statistics

In fiscal 2011, the station was used by an average of 21,465 passengers daily.[1]
