Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol

The Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol (Russian: Законодательное собрание города Севастополя) is the unicameral legislature of Sevastopol since 2014, following the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea. The Assembly is composed by 24 members.

History

The Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol was formed on March 17, 2014, succeeding the Sevastopol City Council after Russian troops took control of Crimea. The first elections were held on September 14, 2014 with the ruling party, United Russia, winning a supermajority with 22 seats and the LDPR winning 2 seats, according to official results.
