- Alpha of Connecticut was inactive from 1871-1884
- The Alpha chapter at Harvard University and the Iota chapter at Radcliffe College voted to merge as the Alpha-Iota chapter of Massachusetts at Harvard University, effective June 1995.
- Alpha of Alabama was disbanded at the outbreak of the Civil War and not reorganized until 1912
- Gamma chapter of Wisconsin at Lawrence College was combined with Delta chapter at Milwaukee-Downer College after the two schools merged in 1964[10]
