List of SC East Bengal coaches
Sporting Club East Bengal is an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The club competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football, as well as the Calcutta Premier Division A, the top tier state football league of West Bengal. Founded in August 1920, the club became affiliated with the Indian Football Association (IFA) in 1922 before earning promotion to the Calcutta Football League first division in 1924. East Bengal won their first league title in 1942 and have since gone on to win the title a record 39 times. The club was also a founding member of the National Football League in 1996 and have won the league title three times. They have also won eight Federation Cups, three Super Cups, a record 29 IFA Shield titles, and a record 16 Durand Cup titles making the club one of the most decorated in Indian football.
East Bengal has had 33 full-time managers. Many of them had managed the club for multiple occasions. The most successful person to manage East Bengal is PK Banerjee, who won a total of 30 trophies for the club in his total nine seasons as manager.
Managerial History
East Bengal FC has been one of the finest footballing institutions in the country and have seen huge success since its inception in 1920. Legends like Pradip Kumar Banerjee and Amal Dutta have successfully managed East Bengal FC in the past. Subhas Bhowmick, Trevor James Morgan are the Managers who got numerous success for the Red and Golds in this Millenia.
East Bengal FC have had a total of 33 Managers and Coaches since its inception. The first-ever professionally appointed Coach/Manager for East Bengal FC was Sushil Bhattacharya in the year 1961.[1] Before that East Bengal FC's legendary secretary Late Shri J. C. Guha used to look and coach the team as he himself was a great player back in his days.[2]

Most Successful East Bengal FC Managers
East Bengal Club in its history of 100 years have had a number of coaches/managers who won quite a few honours for the club. The legendary P.K. Banerjee in his 9 season spell with the club has won a total of 30 trophies, including 5 trophies in a season twice in 1972 and 1973, which is the highest for any coach in the club's history. Dronacharya award winner Syed Nayeemuddin comes second in the most honours list with a total of 17 titles to his name as the coach of Red and Gold brigade including another "Triple Crown" in 1990. Former player and coach Subhash Bhowmick too brought in huge success in the current millennia with 12 titles on his regime including 5 trophies in a season again in 2002-03, winning back to back National League titles and the famous 2003 ASEAN Club Championship in Jakarta. Club legend Monoranjan Bhattacharya too is on the list with 10 trophies as the head coach, including the very first National League title in 2001. British coach Trevor James Morgan makes the cut, being the only foreign name in the list with a total of 9 titles to his name as the head coach of East Bengal in two spells.

Most Trophies Won in a Single Stint
East Bengal Club have had managers who had won a huge number of silverware in different spells, however, it is P.K. Banerjee again in his first-ever coaching spell with the club between 1972-76 that can be dubbed as the most successful stint as the head coach of the club as he won 16 titles in 4 seasons, including winning 5 trophies in a season twice in 1972 and 1973, completing the coveted Triple Crown for the very first time in the history of Indian football by any club in 1972.[13][14]

East Bengal Club has appointed a Technical Director at times to over-head the head-coaches. The very first Technical Director was the legendary P.K. Banerjee who was appointed in 1996-97 season over head-coach Monoranjan Bhattacharya. Later Monoranjan Bhattacharya himself and Subhash Bhowmick too were appointed as the Technical Directors of the team in separate occasions.

Foreign Managers for East Bengal
East Bengal appointed their very first foreign manager in 2005 when they signed Belgian head coach Philippe De Ridder. The club has since appointed 8 foreign managers, the latest being Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler who joined the Red and Gold brigade in the 2020-21 season.

List of Foreign Physical Trainers for East Bengal FC
In 2003-04 season, East Bengal FC brought in South African Kevin Jackson as the physical trainer for the team ahead of participating in the 2003 ASEAN Club Championship. He was the first foreign physical trainer that the club has ever roped in.[16][17]
