List of Tampa Bay Rays minor league affiliates
The Tampa Bay Rays farm system consists of eight Minor League Baseball affiliates across the United States and in the Dominican Republic.[1] Five teams are independently owned, while three—the Gulf Coast League Rays and two Dominican Summer League Rays squads—are owned by the major league club.
Their newest affiliates are the Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Florida State League which became the Rays' Low Single-A club in 2009 and the Bowling Green Hot Rods of the Midwest League which became their Class A affiliate also in 2009.[2]
Geographically, Tampa Bay's closest domestic affiliates are the Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League and the Gulf Coast League Rays of the Rookie League Gulf Coast League which share a facility approximately 61 miles (98 km) away.

2021–present
The current structure of Minor League Baseball is the result of an overall contraction of the system beginning with the 2021 season. Class A was reduced to two levels: High Single-A and Low Single-A. Class A Short Season teams and domestic Rookie League teams that operated away from Spring Training facilities were eliminated.
1996–2020
Minor League Baseball operated with six classes from 1990 to 2020. The Class A level was subdivided for a second time with the creation of Class A-Advanced. The Rookie level consisted of domestic and foreign circuits.[4]
