List of Texas Longhorns baseball seasons

This is a list of Texas Longhorns baseball seasons. The Texas Longhorns baseball program is a college baseball team that represents the University of Texas in the Big 12 Conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.[1] The Longhorns have played their home games at UFCU Disch–Falk Field in Austin, Texas since 1974.[2]

The Longhorns have won 6 College World Series titles, tied for second most nationally, and have reached the ultimate event 36 times, more than any other program. They have appeared in the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament 59 times, also most of any program.[3]

Notes

  1. The Longhorns played as part of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association from their first years. By 1913, they were playing in the Texas Intercollegiat Athletic Association. Texas led the creation of the Southwest Conference in 1915, which became the Big 12 Conference after a merger in 1997.
  2. Collegiate Baseball began team rankings in 1959. Baseball America began during the 1981 season. The Coaches' Poll (published by USA Today's Sports Weekly and ESPN) began publishing its rankings during the 1992 season.
  3. Includes games against collegiate competition only.
  4. Includes Conference Tournaments, which began in 1976.
  5. Postseason play involving the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship began in 1947.
