Sales were not as strong as his earlier releases, it went on to peak at #89 on the Billboard 200 and reached #18 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.[2] The album launched three charting singles in the UK. "Love Makes No Sense" peaked at #26 on the UK Singles Chart; "In the Middle" peaked at #32; "All That Matters to Me" at #67.[3] The album was his first album, not to be certified by the BPI, since the 1988 Christmas album, My Gift to You.

The album was re-released in 2013 on Tabu's new Re-born imprint featuring rare bonus content. The reissue is a 2-CD set with the original album digitally remastered from the original 1/2" mix tapes; the bonus content consists of associated 7", and 12" mixes.
