Love and Redemption
Love and Redemption (Chinese: 琉璃; pinyin: Liu Li) is a 2020 Chinese television series based on the novel Liu Li Mei Ren Sha by Shi Si Lang. It premiered on Youku on August 6, 2020.[1][2] It stars actors Cheng Yi as Yu Sifeng and Yuan Bingyan as Chu Xuanji.

Plot
A 1000 years ago, a bitter battle ensues between the Celestials and the Asuras in a struggle for power. The General of the Asura Clan, The Star of Mosha, is defeated by the God of War. He disppears and his soul is sealed in a crystal lamp, which is then sent to the mortal realm to be hidden. However, the God of War too, mysteriously vanishes along with him. A 1000 years later, both of their souls are sent to the mortal realm to undergo tribulation and the demonic realm begins to prepare the revive the Star of Mosha.
In the mortal realm, Chu Xuanji (Yuan Bingyan) is born to the Shaoyang Sect Leader without the power of perception through all 6 senses. She meets Yu Sifeng (Cheng Yi), a skilled disciple of the mysterious Lize Palace, during the Flower Banquet being held at Shaoyang. Sifeng falls for her, despite being forbidden to do so. A turn of events leads to Xuanji being injured during the banquet and she leaves to cultivate and train herself for four years. Sifeng returns to Lize Palace, where he is punished for breaking the sect rules with the Lover's Curse.
They encounter each other, years later and set off for their own adventures, but their journey is riddled with mysterious encounters and they start to realize that there is more to their past than they thought as a millennium-old conspiracy slowly comes to light.

- Bai Shu as Teng She, flying serpent deity, who later becomes Xuanji's spirit pet after being discovered causing havoc in a small village. He appears to dislike Xuanji, but actually cares for her deeply, and has helped her many times.
- Hong Mengyao as Zi Hu, a purple demon fox who is deeply in love with Wu Zhiqi, and waited a thousand years for him. Although she is a demon, she is helpful and kind.
- Fu Fang Jun as Wu Zhiqi, left-handed helper of Mo Shaxing who is in love with Zi Hu. He is betrayed by Yuan Lang causing him to be chained by 4 spiritual keys for 1000 years by Heavenly realm. He is later saved by Yu Sifeng and Zi Hu.
- Yao Yi Chen as Ting Nu - he's a mermaid guy, a former fairy doctor in the Heavenly Realm before reincarnating into a mermaid guy in the mermaid tribe after doing a wrong thing. He is friends with Sifeng and Xuanji and knows many medicinal skills.
- Han Cheng Yu as Liu Yi Huan. He is a rebel of Li Ze Palace, Si Feng’s friend, and the father of Yu’er.
- Huang You Ming as Wu Tong, former disciple of Dian Jin Valley and later becomes a subordinate of Yuan Lang. He is a cruel person who wishes to destroy all five good sects to take revenge. He loves Ling Long but is forever unable to obtain her love. He is later killed by Xuanji.
- Zhao Yingzi as Madame Dongfang, wife of Fu Yu Island Chief. She is the last remaining member of her demon tribe, who were all brutally killed by people of Fu Yu Island. She only stayed with Fu Yu Island chief to take revenge for her tribe. She was tricked into falling in love with Di Lang and helped him accomplish his task of obtaining the spirit keys of Dian Jin Valley and Fu Yu Island, only to be abandoned by him. She later turns crazy and is killed by Li Ze Palace pavilion master.
- Zhang Yan Yan as He Danping, Chu Lei's wife and Xuanji and Linglong's mother. She was killed by Yuanlang after discovering the real identity of the people of Li Ze Palace.
- Qian Yong Chen as Chief of Fu Yu Island. He is deeply in love with Madame Dongfang, but always refuses to accept the fact that she doesn't love him even though the fact is presented in front of him.
- Du Jun Ze as Zhu Shi, sect leader of Xuan Yuan Sect. He is killed brutally by Tian Xu Sect along with his sect after refusing to give up his sect's spirit key.
- Fu Meng Ni as Yu Ning, disciple of Fu Yu Island who befriends Xuanji and Sifeng.
- Wu Yi Tao as Pian Pian, disciple of Fu Yu Island who befriends Xuanji and Sifeng.
- Liu Meng Rui as Yu Er, daughter of Liu Yi Huan. She is half demon.
- Li Ze as Di Lang / Attendant Ou Yang, loyal subordinate of Yuan Lang. He helps Yuan Lang obtain three of the four spirit keys, but sacrifices himself so that Yuan Lang can escape from Fu Yu Island.
- Wei Wei as Si Ming, a deity who serves King Bai Lin in the Heavenly realm.
