Madikheda Dam
Madikheda Dam is a multi-purpose dam situated in Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh, India. before independence it comes under control of Rajpoot chiefs of Raipur which is seat of Thakur who comes from Pawaiya Chauhan Rajpoot clan. Chauhans of Raipur was one among the most dominating power in this region. Thakur Shree Niranjan Sinh Pawaiya was the current Chief of Raipur that time. had three sons Shree Balwant sinh the eldest one and Shree Parishat sinh the youngest one. Pradhani of Madikheda was given to Shree Parishat sinh the first Pradhan of Madikheda and youngest son of Thakur Parishat sinh was Thakur Jihan sinh Pawaiya.Thakur Thakore sahib Lambardar Shree Jihan sinh Pawaiya the last pradhan head of Madikheda. the former village of Madikheda was affected by dam project on Sindh river as many other villages on the bank of river in 1975 -1977.
