Marc Vincent Trudeau

Marc Vincent Trudeau (born May 20, 1957) is an American priest of the Catholic Church and serves as one of the auxiliary bishops for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, beginning in 2018, under Archbishop José Horacio Gómez. Until his appointment as Auxiliary Bishop, he had been serving first in 2013 as a Vicar Forane for the Archdiocese (overseeing a territorial or ministerial division of the Archdiocese), and then in 2014 was appointed Rector of Saint John's Seminary, the archdiocesan seminary, in Camarillo, California, a suburb of Los Angeles.

Biography

He was born in Hollywood. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles (1981-1985). He then completed his ecclesiastical studies (philosophy and then theology) at Saint John's Seminary (1986-1991). On August 6, 1991, Trudeau was ordained to the priesthood.

Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles

Pope Francis appointed Trudeau auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Los Angeles on April 5, 2018.[1][2] He knows English and Spanish. On June 7, 2018, Trudeau was consecrated as a bishop.
