Meishar

Meishar (Hebrew: מֵישָׁר) is a moshav in south-central Israel. Located in the coastal plain near Gedera, it falls under the jurisdiction of Gederot Regional Council. In 2019 it had a population of 795.[1]

History

The moshav was founded by immigrants to Israel from Germany and Poland in 1950 on land that had belonged to the depopulated Palestinian village of Bashshit.[2]
