Miss USA 1952

Miss USA 1952, the first Miss USA pageant, was held on June 27, 1952 at Long Beach Municipal Auditorium, Long Beach, California. Forty-two states competed for the inaugural Miss USA. The winner was Jackie Loughery of New York. Loughery represented United States at Miss Universe 1952 the following day where she placed in the Top 10. She became an actress and appeared in a number of films and television programs.
