Morgenshtern

Alisher Tagirovich Morgenshtern (Russian: Алишер Тагирович Моргенштерн; Bashkir: Алишер Таһир улы Моргенштерн; born Alisher Tagirovich Valeyev; February 17, 1998), is a Russian rapper, record producer, and songwriter. Previously he was a full-time YouTuber.

Biography

Alisher was born on February 17, 1998 in Ufa.[1] He changed his last name to Morgenshtern (Russian and Bashkir: Моргенштерн) as a teenager. Since childhood he was interested in music.[2] As a teenager, he loved to skateboard. He released his first music video in 2010. For some time he studied at the pedagogical university, was subsequently expelled due to too frank activities on YouTube, according to his rector.[3] Also he was a street musician,[4] was the head of rock-band MMD Crew. He has collaborated with Russian rapper Face.[5]

He's most known for his YouTube-show "#EasyRap".[6]

Chronology

On 17 February 2018 he released his first mini-album Hate Me.[7]

On 13 October 2018 he released the album "Before I was known".[8]

On 1 January 2019 he released the album "Smile, shithead!",[9] collaborated with the Russian videoblogger Dmitry Larin and musician LSP.[10]

On 30 August 2019 he released the track "Novyj Merin".[11]

On 15 November 2019 he released the track "I don't care", collaborated with Klava Coka.[12]

On 20 December 2019 he released the track "Yung Hefner".

On 17 January 2020 he released the album "Legendary Dust", which was recorded in a week on his live stream. The album became the most successful of Morgenstern's career, gaining a million streams on VK in the first half hour of release and five million streams in eleven hours.[13] In the first two days after the release, the album was listened to on VK more than 21 million times, which is a record for this social network.[14]

On 30 January 2020 he visited the Evening Urgant show.[15]

On 5 March 2020 he released the track "Malyshka" (ru: Малышка), collaborated with the russian musician Sharlot.[16]

On 5 June 2020 he released the track "Pososi".[17] Official music video for this track, currently is the most disliked YouTube video in Russia.[18]

On 9 June 2020 he released the track "Cadillac", collaborated with Eldzhey.[19]

On 31 July 2020 he released the track "Ice",[20] which went viral on social network TikTok.[21]

Business

In 2020 Morgenstern announced his plan to open a restaurant in Moscow. On June 25, 2020, Alisher Morgenstern and Eduard Popov, better known as an autoblogger "Janis Grek" and one of the members of the YouTube channel "Team A", registered Private limited company "KAIF".[22] On October 26 on the ground floor office building on Bolshaya Dmitrovka opened the Kaif Provenance restaurant.[23]
