This is a list of NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament bids by school,[1] at the conclusion of the 2020 conference tournaments. Schools whose names are italicized are no longer in Division I and can no longer be included in the tournament.
There are a total of 64 bids possible (32 automatic qualifiers, 32 at-large) since the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament.
Vacated appearances are not included in the totals.
The table is current through the 2020 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament.

- Received an automatic bid in 2020 for winning its conference tournament but is not reflected in the totals when the NCAA cancelled the 2020 Tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Was awarded the 2020 Conference Championship when the Conference Tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, prior to the NCAA cancelling the 2020 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament. It has not been reflected in the totals.
- The current LIU athletic program, created in 2019 when Long Island University merged the Division I athletic program of its Brooklyn campus and the Division II program of its Post campus, inherited the athletic history of the Brooklyn campus.
