Nadeem Raza
Gen Nadeem Raza (Urdu: ندیم رضا) is a four-star general of the Pakistan Army who got commissioned in 10 Sind Regiment in September 1985. He is currently serving as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee - in office since November 2019.

Personal life and education
Born on 23rd June 1965 in Wah Cantonment, Raza was a shining star in his school. He completed his matriculation in 1981 from Sir Syed High School Wah Cantt and later joined Pakistan Military Academy as a Gentleman Cadet. Nadeem Raza is married and blessed with four children. General Raza is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and National Defence University, Islamabad. In 1994, he attended the Infantry Company Command Course in Germany.[1]His father used to serve at Pakistan Ordnance Factory, Wah Cantt. He's the youngest among his siblings. His two brothers have also served in the armed forces. One retired as a Lieutenant Colonel while the other retired as a Squadron Leader. He loves playing golf and is an avid book reader.
Career
In September 1985, Raza was commissioned in the infantry’s 10 Sind Regiment.[2][1]
Nadeem Raza has served on the faculty of the School of Infantry and Tactics, Command and Staff College, Quetta and War College, NDU Islamabad.[1]
He also served as Chief of Staff of 1 Corps I Corps (Pakistan) and brigade commander of 2 AK Brigade situated at Rawalakot.
In December 2016, Raza was promoted to the rank of three star, Lt Gen from Maj Gen[3] while he was serving as the Commandant of Pakistan Military Academy.[4] Lt Gen Nadeem Raza commanded X Corps based in Rawalpindi.[2]
In October 2017, Raza was appointed as 1st Colonel Commandant of the Mujahid Force.[5]
In August 2018, Nadeem Raza was appointed as the Chief of General Staff.[4] He assumed the position of CGS on 10 September 2018.[1]
In November 2019, Nadeem Raza was promoted to four star rank and appointed as the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He assumed the coveted position on 27 November 2019.[1]
