François Véron created Newfund in 2008 after a decade of private equity investment experience. He is a former board member of France's Venture Capital trade body AFIC,[21] and an oft-quoted source on venture capital matters in French and international media.[22][23][24]

Newfund's other partners include Patrick Malka and Henri Deshays.[25] The Newfund team also includes Zoé Mohl, Anne-Sophie Nédellec and Augustin Sayer.[26]
