Nick Sirianni

Nick Sirianni (born June 15, 1981) is an American football coach who is the head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2018 to 2020 and also served as an assistant coach for the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Coaching career

College coaching

Sirianni began coaching the year after he graduated from college at his alma mater, Mt. Union, as the defensive backs coach. From there, he progressed to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, IUP, as the wide receivers coach under Lou Tepper.

Kansas City

His leap to the NFL came in 2009 when, after an impressive interview with new coach Todd Haley, he was hired by the Chiefs as the offensive quality control coach.[1] Sirianni was retained under new coach Romeo Crennel and was promoted to wide receivers coach.[2]

San Diego Chargers

Sirianni joined the San Diego Chargers when Mike McCoy was hired as the team's head coach in 2013. In 2014 he would become the team's quarterbacks coach and in 2016 their wide receivers coach also spending two years in that position.[3]

Indianapolis Colts

Sirianni joined the Indianapolis Colts[4] to become the team's offensive coordinator[5] in 2018 as a part of Frank Reich's staff. He had previously worked with Reich in San Diego.

Philadelphia Eagles

On January 24, 2021, Sirianni was hired to become the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Personal life

Sirianni is the son of Fran and Amy Sirianni[6] and graduated from Southwestern Central High School in 1999. His father and his brother Jay are both former head coaches of Southwestern, and his brother Mike Sirianni is the coach at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA [7]
