History

Originally named Pakistan School, it was inaugurated by the then Minister of Foreign Affairs Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on 17 October 1964. It was set up initially to cater for the educational requirements of the overseas Pakistani and embassy staff as to enable their children to acquire the standards requisite for admission in Pakistan schools on return home. Consequently, the school evolved into Pakistan Embassy International School and College which is the only institute affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE Islamabad), as well as Cambridge Assessment International Education. Thus PEISCT is a unique institute in Tehran which offers curricula from pre-nursery/kindergarten to Class XII (FBISE Islamabad) or to A-Levels (CAIE).[3]
