History

In November 2020, the party gained its first MP in the Sejm. It was Hanna Gill-Piątek of Spring. By the end of the year, the party in opinion polls got between 10 and 20 percent, which made it the third most popular party in Poland. By the end of the year, Gill-Piątek became the party's deputy chairwoman.

In January 2021, the party gained another MP in the Sejm (Joanna Mucha) and its first senator (Jacek Bury). Both these members initially were members of Civic Coalition.[4]

Program

  • Economy and Climate: Poland in the last 30 years was an economic success despite demographic problems; Poland should seek Gross Domestic Product growth; foster entrepreneurship; win the challenge of digitization, both in seizing opportunities (innovation) and fending off new threats (cybersecurity); Poland should achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and transition off coal with long-term plans for miners and Silesia; Poland should help rebuild the global economy on the basis of sustainable development; defend Polish companies worldwide and particularly in the EU; enhance Poland's position in the global production chain; aid the defense industry; promote railway transportation, investment and funding, especially for smaller, inter-urban links so that railways can be an alternative to the highways and airways; increase public spending in health; secure government control bodies and increase transparency; start a sanation of the public finances[1][2]
  • European Union: seen as Poland's "most important alliance"; priority to rebuild the Weimar Triangle with Germany and France, with the intent to become one of EU's deciding nations[3]
