Athletics

Athletic teams are nicknamed the Indians and compete in the Virginia High School League's Dominion District. The teams competed in the Jefferson District until 2019.[6] Indian football teams won state championships in 1996 and 2003.[7] The softball team has six state championships, and the baseball team won its first state championship in 2007.[4]

PHS has two competitive show choirs, the mixed-gender "Resonance" and the all-female "Radiance".[8] The program also hosts an annual competition, called the "Diamond Classic".[9]
