Biography

Queenie studied in Rosaryhill School, then continued her education at the University of Washington, Seattle, United States. After finishing her studies, she entered the Miss Hong Kong 2004 pageant in Seattle. She successfully entered the overseas group. She went back to Hong Kong in June 2004 to compete in the pageant.

Considered as a favorite from the start, she won the Tourism Ambassador title early on in the competition. After 3 months of training, she competed on stage for the Miss Hong Kong 2004 title. She placed as 1st runner-up to winner Kate Tsui.

During her reign, she appeared in TVB variety shows. She also did a lot of charity work and visited other countries as an ambassador for Hong Kong.

In November 2004, she traveled to Sanya, China to compete in the Miss World 2004. She wasn't considered as a favorite and failed to make the top 15. After she gave her 1st runner-up crown to her successor Sharon Luk in 2005, she was asked to compete in the Miss International 2005 pageant in Japan. Although she was dubbed as a favorite, she did not make the top 12 cut in Japan either, but did win Miss Friendship, a title that Hong Kong had won 3 times already. Interesting note was that Hong Kong won the Miss Friendship title 3 times in the last 5 years.

She signed an artist contract and hosted more shows for TVB after her reign was over.
