  • July 14, 1950: Established as Apostolic Prefecture of Yola from the Diocese of Buéa in Cameroon, the Apostolic Prefecture of Jos and the Apostolic Prefecture of Oturkpo
  • July 2, 1962: Promoted as Diocese of Yola
