Ruth Westbrook

Ruth Emily Prideaux (née Westbrook; 12 July 1930 7 April 2016)[1] was an English cricketer.[2] She played 11 Test matches for the England women's cricket team between 1957-58 and 1963.[3]

Personal life

Ruth Emily Westbrook married England Test cricketer Roger Prideaux. They were the first of only three married couples along with the Sri Lankans Guy de Alwis and Rasanjali de Alwis (née Silva) in the 1980s and 1990s and the Australians Mitchell Starc and Alyssa Starc (née Healy).[4] to have both played Test cricket. She coached and managed the England women's team from 1988-93 before emigrating to South Africa with her husband.
