S.O.S. Tidal Wave is a 1939 American crime film directed by John H. Auer and written by Gordon Kahn and Maxwell Shane. The film stars Ralph Byrd, George Barbier, Kay Sutton, Frank Jenks, Marc Lawrence and Dorothy Lee. The film was released on June 2, 1939, by Republic Pictures.[1][2][3]

Plot

Jeff Shannon is a newsman stops trying to expose political corruption happening in his city after his son and wife are threatened. Then on election day, the corrupt politicians broadcast the film Deluge (1933) on news, to keep people from voting and thinking that NYC was hit by a tidal wave.
