Compared to SET News, whose format is general news, SET iNews broadcasts more financial and international news. Nevertheless, both channels share resources, including reporters and presenters, and, sometimes, especially during off-peak hours (late night and early mornings, as well as weekends), simulcast and/or repeat some programming premiered in the other network. For example, on Saturdays and Sundays SET iNews's live programming starts at 11:00 local time: SET iNews simulcasts SET News from 05:50 to 09:00, when a repeat of a night debate show airs.

SET iNews and sister channel SET News are considered outlets leaning towards the Pan-Green coalition.[1][2][3]
