Salvatore Ganacci

Emir Kobilić (Swedish pronunciation: [eːmɪr kuːbiːlitɕ]; born 29 July 1986), better known as Salvatore Ganacci (Italian: [salvaˈtore ɡanattʃi]), is a Bosnian-born Swedish DJ, record producer and a co-founder of the THOR radio show on Sveriges Radio.

"Salvatore Ganacci" is a nickname which his friends gave him, because his "style of play[ing football] is very Italian" and the name sounds Italian.[1]

Kobilic was born in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia but moved to and now resides in Stockholm, Sweden.[1]

Career

In 2010, Kobilić began studying at Musikmakarna in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.[2]

In 2014, Ganacci released his first collaboration with Jillionaire of Major Lazer. Their debut single "Fresh", released through Universal Music Group, became an instant club hit.[3]

In 2015, Ganacci signed a record deal with Sebastian Ingrosso's Refune Music label.[4] He also released a video for "money in my mattress".[5]

In 2017, Ganacci performed at Tomorrowland Festival.[6]

In 2018, Ganacci performed at Ultra Music Festival[7] and the main stage of Tomorrowland Festival[8] with a remarked presentation, due to a strong show personality.[9]

In 2019, Ganacci performed at the main stage of Tomorrowland Festival[8] by inviting to his set Estonian rave-rapper Tommy Cash.

Also in 2019, the music video for Ganacci's single "Horse" was featured on the Adult Swim program Off The Air.
