Club career

Early career

Sebastian Tagliabué started his football career at Primera C side Club Atletico Colegiales from 2003 to 2008. Sebastián found it difficult to be recognized by teams in top divisions, however, after achieving the Primera C (fourth tier) championship with Colegiales, Taglibué drew the attention of other teams. He was signed abroad, by Everton from the Primera División de Chile. Taglibué made his debut for Everton in a 5–5 draw against Deportes La Serena, where he scored three goals. After a spell at Everton where he scored 6 times in 13 matches Tagliabué moved to Deportes La Serena. At Deportes La Serena Taglibué scored 13 times in 27 matches and after one year, in 2010, he moved to Once Caldas where he was able to participate in the 2010 Copa Libertadores.

Saudi Arabia

After his spell at Colombia, Tagliabué moved overseas to Saudi Arabia after being approached by Saudi team Al-Ittifaq. Taglibué underwent a stint at the club where he scored 21 times in 44 matches from 2010 to 2012. His goal capacity drag the attention from Saudi Al-Shabab, who signed him in mid-2012. Taglibué has scored 19 goals in 25 matches in the 2012–2013 Saudi Premier League season.

UAE

Tagliabué was offered to join UAE Pro-League side Al-Wahda and in June 2013, agreed to a five-year contract. He scored a hat-trick on 14 December 2017 in a league cup match against Al-Wasl. After spending seven years at the club, winning at least four domestic titles, the Emirati-Argentine joined Al-Nasr on a two year contract.[1]

International career

In early 2020, Sebastián Tagliabúe was naturalized as an Emirati citizen, making him one of the first three non-Emirati born players to receive such honor, alongside Brazil's Fábio Virginio de Lima and Caio Canedo Corrêa.[2] Following the naturalization, he was summoned to the United Arab Emirates national football team by fellow South American Jorge Luis Pinto in October 2020, where he made his debut against Uzbekistan and scored his first international goal in an Emirati 1–2 defeat.
