Solaris Barba

Solaris De la Luna Barba Cañizales (born March 1, 1999)[1] is a Panamanian model, dancer, and winner of the titles Miss World Panama 2018 and Miss World Americas 2018.

Early life and education

Barba is from Arraiján.[2] She graduated in 2016 from Instituto Justo Arosemena with a specialization in business,[1] and is studying marketing and international business.[3]

Pageantry

Representing Herrera, Barba was crowned Miss World Panama 2018 at the Señorita Panamá 2018 pageant held on June 7, 2018 at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panama City, succeeding Julianne Brittón. In December 2018. she represented Panama at the Miss World 2018 competition in China in December, where she was one of the top 12 semifinalists and was awarded the title Miss World Americas 2018, the highest placement achieved by a Panamanian up to that date.[4][5]
