Opened in 1966, the college celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2016/17. The college caters for schools in both Northern Ireland and northern areas in the Republic of Ireland. It mainly covers South Tyrone and North Monaghan.

Awards

In 2019, it won the Post-Primary School of the Year Award at The Irish News School, Club & Volunteer Awards Ceremony.[2] This award is for how the school promotes and develops Gaelic games among its pupils.
