Stage invasion

During her performance of the song at the grand final in Lisbon on 12 May, SuRie's microphone was taken by a stage invader, who then yelled into the microphone "all you Nazis of the UK media, we demand freedom", and was arrested shortly afterwards. She was given the opportunity to perform again by the EBU but declined.

The United Kingdom performed in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 12 May 2018.[3] The United Kingdom went straight into the final as a member of the Big 5.[4]
