Sudarso Hardjowasito
Sudarso Hardjowasito (1938–21 April 2020) was a football referee from Indonesia. He officiated in 1980 AFC Asian Cup in Kuwait, refereeing two matches including the final between Kuwait and Korea Republic.
Controversies
On the 1982 FIFA World Cup qualification between New Zealand and Kuwait, Hardjowasito gave two controversial penalties in favor of Kuwait. New Zealand's FA got involved in that match, calling on Hardjowasito to continue the game even when the unstable situation came. Kuwait won 2-1 from New Zealand.
Later life
He continued to referee until 1985, the year that he retired. Aged 82, he died on 21 April 2020 in Depok, Indonesia.
