Description

Takaka Aerodrome is northwest of the town. State Highway 60 runs just south of Runway 36. It was established in 1940 and is owned by the Tasman District Council.[1]

There are two runways at the aerodrome. One runs north-south and is 832 metres (2,730 feet) long and 12 metres (39 feet) wide. The second crosses the first in a south-east to north-west direction and is 604 metres (1,982 feet) long.[2]
