Premise
A psychiatrist begins to implant himself into the life of one of his patients.

Production
It was announced in February 2020 that a television adaptation of the podcast The Shrink Next Door was in development, which would see Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd star.[1] The series would be greenlit and ordered by Apple TV+ in April.[2] Kathryn Hahn and Casey Wilson would be added as leads in November, with Sarayu Blue cast in a recurring role in February 2021.[3][4][5]
Filming began in December 2020 in Los Angeles.[6]
