Thottumukkam
Thottumukkam is a village in the district of Kozhikode, Kerala, India under the administration of Kodiyathur Grama Panchayath on the banks of Thottumukkam river, major tributary of Chaliyar. It is bordered with Karassery of Kozhikode district and Urangattiri and Kizhuparamba Grama Panchayaths of Malappuram district. Most of the people in the village are migrated farmers.
Administration
The area is administered by the Kodiyathur Grama Panchayth. For administrative purposes, it is divided into 2 wards: Thottumukkam (5) and Thottumukkam Pallithazhe (6). K C Nadikkutty[1] of CPI(M) and Sunny Vellanchira[1] of CPI were the members of Grama Panchayath Council. Com. George M. Thomas (Indian politician) of CPI(M), Member of Thiruvambady Legislative Assembly, also a native of Thottumukkam. Local body election of 2020 results that Ms. Siji Kuttikombil (Thottumukkam 5) of CPI(M) and Ms. Divya Shibu (Thottumukkam 6) of INC won the election.

Transportation
Thottumukkam is connected to both Kozhikode and Malappuram district through roads. Continues and regular bus services connecting Thottumukkam to Areekode and Vettilappara town of Malappuram, Mukkam via Parathode and Thiruvambady via Koodaranhi towns of Kozhikode.
