History
The club was founded in 1957 following the decision by Trafford Council to provide a new clubhouse at the Walton Road Sports Centre. The Council provided the offer because the clubhouse of the Metrovic Rowing Club, which was located in Dane Road had been destroyed by fire.[2]
The club produced a national champion in the women's under 15 double sculls in 2016.
