History

The United Kingdom and Australia started negotiations for a free trade deal on the 17 June 2020, and are currently on the first round of negotiations.[2]

On 15 June 2020 the Australian Government released its negotiating position.[3] Two days later, on the 17 June 2020, the UK Government also released its negotiation objectives, outlining what it would like to achieve in a free trade agreement.[4]
