University of Global Village

University of Global Village (UGV) (Bengali: ইউনিভার্সিটি অব গ্লোবাল ভিলেজ) is a private university in Barishal, Bangladesh. The University Grants Commission approved the institution in 2016. The university offers degrees in engineering, agriculture, law, arts, business and science.

The Chancellor of the University, President Abdul Hamid appointed Jahangir Alam Khan as the new Vice Chancellor for four years on 14 November 2016.[1]

In 2019, the Prothom Alo reported that no Vice-Chancellor had been appointed to the University in three and a half year. The University lack laboratory facilities. The University trustee boarded is headed by Syeda Arjuman Banu, wife of Awami League politician Jahangir Kabir Nanak.[2]
