Yang Shiwo

Yang Shiwo (simplified Chinese: 杨食我; traditional Chinese: 楊食我; pinyin: Yáng Shíwǒ;?–514 BCE) is family member of Jin (晉) during the Spring and Autumn period (春秋時期). His ancestral surname was Ji and his clan name was Yangshe(羊舌), his name is Boshi(伯石),courtesy name Shiwo(食我). His Father is Yangshe Xi or simply named Yang Yu (楊譽).

Yang Shiwo have a good friend is Qi Ying, the grandson of Qi Xi. In 514 BCE, Qi Ying have two retaines, they are Qi Sheng and Wu Zhi. They exchange of Their wives. Qi Ying imprisoned the two of them. The Dafu is Xun Li, was bribed by Qi Sheng, and then he went to the Duke Qing of Jin to say that Qi Ying was personally arresting people, and the Duke Qing of Jin is arrested Qi Ying. Yang Shiwo feel that the injustice of the public affairs, help family of Qi to kill Qi Sheng and Wu Zhi. In a great rage, Duke Qing of Jin sent several other ministers to destroy Qi and Yangshe, killing Qi Ying and after that Yang Shiwo survive do dividing the land between them. Yang Shiwo and his children fled to Huashan(華山), with the surname fiefs called Yang, Yang Shiwo asserted to Yang's ancestor.[1][2]
