Yoane Wissa

Yoane Wissa (born 3 September 1996) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for FC Lorient.[1][2] Born in France, Wissa represents the DR Congo national team.

Club career

As a youth, Wissa began as a goalkeeper for his local youth club Épinay-sous-Sénart, and switched to midfield before being played as a forward.[3] Wissa was trained Châteauroux.[4] Wissa made his professional debut in a 1–1 tie for Angers against Rennes on 19 November 2016.[5]

International career

On 22 September 2020, Wissa was called-up by the DR Congo.[6] Wissa debuted with the DR Gongo in a friendly 3-0 loss to Burkina Faso on 9 October 2020.[7]

Personal life

Wissa was born in France and is of Congolese descent,[8] and can speak the Lingala language.[9]
