Yokkaso

Yokkaso (Burmese: ရုက္ခစိုး; also called as Thitpin Saung Nat (Burmese: သစ်ပင်စောင့်နတ်; lit. 'Tree Guardian Spirit'), are Burmese nats (spirits) who serve as guardians of the trees. Yokkaso is derived from Pali rukkha deva (ရုက္ခဒေဝ), which literally means "deity of the tree."[1]

They are related to Akathaso (အာကာသစိုး) and Bhummaso (ဘုမ္မစိုး), who respectively live on the sky and earth. Bhummaso are guardian spirits of the earth while Akathaso are guardian spirits of sky.[1][2]
