The 1987 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 78th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1909.

On 8 November 1987, Erin's Own won the championship following a 1-06 to 0-08 defeat of Mallow in the final at Rathcormac Sportsfield.[1] This was their second championship title overall and their first title since 1984.
