The 1988 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 79th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1909.

On 16 October 1988, Youghal won the championship following a 4-06 to 2-11 defeat of Kilbrittain in the final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.[1] This was their third championship title overall and their first title since 1969.
