2027 AFC Asian Cup bids

On 5 June 2019, the All India Football Federation President, Praful Patel, expressed India's interest to join the bid for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.[4] On 5 April 2020, India has submitted its bid documents for hosting the AFC Asian Cup in 2027, a top official of the national federation confirmed.[5][6][7] On 16 December 2020, the AIFF officially announced its candidature to host the AFC Asian Cup in 2027. The slogan "Brighter Future Together" was revealed as the official logo of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in December.[8] If selected, it will mark the first time the tournament to be hosted in India.

• Panvel – Kharghar Stadium, capacity 40,000 (new)[9]
• New Delhi – Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, capacity 60,254[9]
• Thiruvananthapuram – Greenfield International Stadium, capacity 55,000[9]
• Pune – Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, capacity 11,900[9]

On 29 April 2020, Iran declared interests to host the competition, with Iran has hosted it twice in 1968 and 1976. If chosen, It will be the third time Iran can host.[10]

On 28 April 2020, Qatar announced its interests to host the Asian Cup.[12] In October and December 2020, the Qatari association submitted its hosting requirements to the AFC.[13][14] It will be the third time if Qatar wins the bid. The country hosted the Asian Cup twice in 1988 and 2011.

The slogan "Celebrating Asia " was revealed as the official logo of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in the Qatar Amir cup final 2020, which was held in Ahmed bin Ali stadium.

• Doha – Qatar University Stadium, capacity 22,400 (after expansion)[15]
• Doha – Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, capacity 40,000[15]
• Lusail – Lusail Iconic Stadium, capacity 80,000[15]

Saudi Arabia has announced attention to host the competition on 6 February 2020. If this is successful, this will be the first time the Asian Cup to be hosted in Saudi Arabia.[16]

The slogan "Forward for Asia" was revealed as the official logo of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup later in September, if Saudi Arabia wins the bid.[17]

• Riyadh – Riyadh New Stadium, capacity 22,000 (new)[18]
• Riyadh – Qiddiya Stadium, capacity 22,000 (new)[18]

On 16 September 2019, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received in Tashkent the president of the AFC Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa. The meeting discussed the interaction between Uzbekistan and the AFC in popularizing football, supporting youth and women's football, and also raised the issue of holding international competitions in Uzbekistan. In addition, in connection with the arrival of Sheikh Salman in Tashkent, the media in Uzbekistan reported that Uzbekistan was one of the main contenders for the adoption of the AFC Asian Cup in 2027.[19][20] On 16 December 2020, the Uzbekistan Football Association notified the AFC that it quit its bid to host the Asian Cup.[3] It would have been the first time to host the competition in Uzbekistan.

The two nations expressed interests in bidding together for the competition in December 2019, and there were plans to materialise this.[21] However, the countries' member associations were not among those who expressed their interest by the 30 June 2020 deadline.[2]
