Anna Lührmann

Anna Lührmann (born June 14, 1983 in Lich, Hesse) became the youngest-ever member of the German Parliament in 2002,[1] as well as the youngest member of parliament in the world. She became involved in the Green Party at thirteen and her election came after a fast career in the youth organisation Grün-Alternatives Jugendbündnis. She belongs to the moderate wing of the Green Party. From 2009 - 2011 she advised UNDP in Sudan on Electoral and Parliamentary issues. She is lead author of UNDP's handbook "Enhancing Youth Political Participation Throughout the Electoral Cycle A Good Practice Guide", published in 2013.[2] In August 2015, she joined the Varieties of Democracy Institute at the Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, as Postdoctoral Research Fellow .[3]
