In July 2017, the company was acquired by the Swiss ABB Group.[1]

Performance

B&R concluded 2015 with a revenue of €585 million, a 10% increase over the previous year.[2] In 2014, the company posted growth of 13% to 535 million euros.[3] In the same year, B&R opened two new subsidiaries in Japan. and Singapore.[4]

The company's 2013 revenue of 475 million euros represented a growth of 11% over the previous year. 2013 also saw the founding of B&R subsidiaries in Turkey and Taiwan.[5]

Locations

The company headquarters are located in Eggelsberg, Upper Austria. In 1987, the headquarters in Eggelsberg, Austria grew to 7,000 m2. The first building addition there took place in the year 2000, adding an additional 10,000 m2 production plant. In March 2008, the company began a new expansion project. Approximately €50 million were invested to add 50,000 m2 to the headquarters.
