Bajali district
Bajali district is a newly formed district of the Indian state of Assam, carved out of Barpeta district. The Assam Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal approved the proposal to make Bajali a full-fledged district on 10 August 2020.[1]

On 12 January 2021 Bajali has been formally declared as a district. With the announcement made by Governor Jagdish Mukhi, it has become the 34th district of Assam.[2]
