History

Beluga Noble Russian Vodka was first created in 2002 by the Mariinsk distillery.[1] Mariinsk itself was founded in 1900 in Siberia.

In May 2016, Beluga partnered with Summergate Fine Wine & Spirits to be the exclusive importer and distributor of the brand in Greater China.[2]

Process

Water is a key component in the production of Beluga Vodka, accounting for 60% of its unique formula. They pull from artesian water sources around 33m underground. Another component is a special (Wheat) malt spirit, rarely found in today's vodka, mainly due to the cost and labour-intensive program it requires. The filtration process involves a triple filtration through charcoal, impregnated silver, and sand (or quadruple for the Transatlantic, with cotton). The final production style includes maturation that lasts 1 month for Noble, 45 days for Transatlantic, 2 months for Allure, and 3 months for Gold Line.

Flavors

There are six flavors of Beluga, Noble, Transatlantic, Allure, Goldline, Celebration and Beluga Epicure by Lalique.
