Cameby is a rural locality in the Western Downs Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census, Cameby had a population of 56 people.[1]

Geography
The Warrego Highway and Western railway line are the southern boundary of the locality. The Rywung railway station serves the locality (26.6850°S 150.47189°E).[3][4]
There is an identified thermal coal resource area known as Davies Road (26.602°S 150.419°E) with reserves estimated at 49.4 megatonnes (48,600,000 long tons; 54,500,000 short tons) within the locality.[5]
The land use is predominantly grazing on native vegetation with some cropping.[3]
History

There are no schools in the locality. The nearest primary schools are Chinchilla State School in Chinchilla to the south-east and Miles State School in Miles to the west. The nearest primary schools are Chinchilla State HIgh School in Chinchilla and Miles State High School in Miles.[3]
