Overview

Capcom Arcade Stadium includes 1943: The Battle of Midway and the remaining games are purchasable as downloadable content (DLC). Ghosts 'n Goblins is individually downloadable.[3] The rest are three packs of 10 games each from a particular time period.[3][4][5][6][7]

Its modern emulation-based system gives these vintage games the features of real-time rewind, difficulty selection, adjustable game speed, and nostalgic visual filters to simulate vintage arcade CRT screens.[8]

Game list

There are 32 games in this compilation.[3][6]

Dawn of the Arcade (1984-1988)

Arcade Revolution (1989-1992)

Reception

Upon the compilation's December 2020 announcement, Comic Book Resources found it to be an improvement over the 2013 predecessor Capcom Arcade Cabinet for PlayStation 3, by almost doubling the library. It lamented the trend of emulation "retreads" from Nintendo and Capcom: "The downside is that these companies have normalized the practice of re-selling consumers classic games every console generation, and that's a price gamers shouldn't have to pay."[4]
